Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of My Next Assignment ("the service", "we", "us"). By subscribing to or using the service, you agree to them.
1.The service
My Next Assignment monitors media and journalism employers and emails you curated job matches scored to your profile. On the Pro plan, we also generate tailored draft résumés and cover letters for your strongest matches. Drafts are starting points for you to edit — they are never submitted on your behalf.
2.No guarantee of outcomes
We help the right roles reach you; we do not guarantee you a job, an interview, or any particular result. We don't provide career, legal, or financial advice, and we don't control employers' hiring decisions or the accuracy of third-party job postings.
3.Eligibility & your account
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. The service currently focuses on US-based roles. You agree to provide accurate onboarding information and to keep your account details current — the quality of your matches depends on it.
4.Subscriptions & billing
- Plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly, or quarterly where offered) through Stripe until cancelled.
- Discovery is $19/month and Pro is $29/month at the time of writing; founding-member rates, where offered, are honored as described at sign-up.
- We'll give reasonable advance notice of any price change before it affects you.
5.14-day money-back guarantee
If the service isn't for you, email us within 14 days of your initial purchase for a full refund of that charge — one request, no questions. After 14 days, payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
6.Cancellation
You can cancel anytime in one click through the Stripe billing portal. Your access continues through the end of the period you've paid for; we don't lock you in or bury the cancel flow.
7.Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service: no reselling or redistributing our matches or drafts, no scraping or automated extraction of the service, no attempts to breach security, and no unlawful use. The account is for you, not for sharing.
8.Your content & our content
You keep ownership of the information you provide and of the drafts we generate for you — they're yours to edit and use. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the service (e.g. to process your profile and produce your matches and drafts). The service itself — our software, brand, and site — remains ours. Third-party names and trademarks belong to their respective owners; we reference employers only to describe real openings and are not affiliated with or endorsed by them.
9.AI-generated drafts
Draft materials are produced with AI and may contain errors or omissions. You are responsible for reviewing, correcting, and approving anything before you use or send it. We make no warranty that drafts are accurate, complete, or suitable for a given application.
10.Third-party services
The service relies on third parties (including Stripe, Resend, Anthropic, Tally, Google, and Cloudflare). Your use of the service is also subject to their terms, and we aren't responsible for their acts or outages.
11.Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
12.Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms; we'll revise the "last updated" date and, for material changes, notify subscribers by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
13.Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict of laws rules.
